Santa Fe Hospitality LLC seeks Accountant in Santa Fe, NM. (and other US locations as needed). Duties: Manages, maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions. Apply the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
Ensure efficient and profitable operation by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments. Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data. Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts. Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts. Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes. Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Other job duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance, business or related fields plus 2 years of experience. Experience conducting income and expense audits, budgeting, recording financial records and maintaining AR aging, leading financial institutions' disputes. Experience with MS Excel. Experience performing monthly and period closed. Experience managing credit and executing financial reporting. Experience with Profit and Loss analysis management. Domestic travel required to attend corporate mandatory training, corporate meetings & national conferences required as needed.
